Rarely mentioned but the best bang for the buck is replacing the 6SS7 RF
stage with a 717A. It really wakes up 20M and above and is what I did in the
50's as well as the one I have now.
One mod I plan is the Pullen mixer but Im not sure which receiver to try it
on first, probably a SX-28. I already have 7360's in the 75A4 Ive had since
1964 and along with other mods its the best 80/160M CW DXer Ive ever owned,
including a R-390A and highly modded TS-940.
