[Hammarlund] Yaesu Rotor Problem

I have a "number" of control cables for Motrac and
other Motorola trunk mount units in my attic.
Remember, I owned the Motorola reconditioned equipment
center for the south-central United States from 1970
until Motorola went out of that "end" of the business
in 1979. I still have "bits and pieces" left from
those days.

Considering that I only need 5 wires a control cable
would be a "bit" of an "over kill"! But, I do use 1/2
inch Heliax on my HF antennas as well as VHF and UHF.
However, I "acquired" quite a few 100 foot and 200
foot lengths with connectors at no cost and I would
actually have to spend money to get something of
lesser quality. Being that I am a firm believer in
the principle of conserving my finances and labor (you
can read "cheap and lazy"), I "tend" to go with what I
actually have around especially if it will do the job
and not cost anything.

I just need to see if I have any more 100 foot desk
set cables. That will probably require a trip into
both the attic over the house and the attic over the
attached garage (they are "sorta" attached but MUCH
easier to get into from different entrance points).

I have a bunch of NOS control head cables for MICOR,
MITREK, etc. Great cables....not several hundred feet,
such as we'd want for rotors and other remote control
stuff, but super wire.

Over the years I have used bits & pieces of it, but it
still takes up bunches of space & weight in my "stash"
boxes....I really don't have much use for it any more
but on the other hand I'm reluctant to get rid of such
nice stuff. Now...if I had a 200' length of this stuff
I could donate it to Glen, but then he'd have to start
splicing again...
