Dear list member,

I am a revived person into this list since around 1998.
Will you please let me join together again?

Recently I got a second RF unit of SP-600 in the auction.
The unit has however the tuning shaft without large size knobs.
I am looking for a tuning knob for it.
Will you let me know if you have a spare one?

Now I am planning to construct the motor driven spead dial mechanics
that synchronize to the rotation of the tuning shaft, through
monitoring the output frequency from the local oscillator of SP-600.

Several years ago, I heard that SP-600 designers had made their idea
that the spread dial digit had to originally indicate the fixed
same cycle digit under any frequecy band like collins receivers.
However, the actual receiver did not have been implemented
their originals as you know.
My dream is to implement their idea by the micro processing technology
that monitors the rotation of a knob, calculates the frequency deviation
and generates the pulse signal for the stepping motor to drive
a tuning shaft of the SP-600 receiver.
In order to this controling, the spead dial shaft has to be
disconnected from the tuning shaft mechanics of SP-600.

Will you please advise me if you have already the similar experience to
make accurate digit spreading on the receiver?
