[Hammarlund] How to clean a HQ129X panel and cabinet?

I took a little trip today to pick up a Viking I and a very nice HQ-129X 
follwed me home.
It has a beautiful panel with no paint rubbed off and I dont see any damage 
to the cabinet. However a PO was a smoker and the residue is everywhere, 
thankfully very little inside. The interior is exceptionally clean with just 
a faint nicotine coloring.

Before I ruin it and since there is a variety of paints used among equipment 
manufacturers I thought it best to start here. What is the accepted 
procedure to clean this gem?
