I know that the last general manager (or equivalent, not sure what his 
title was) was Stu Meyer, W2GHK,  who is now SK.  I see his callsign is 
held by Suzanne F. Meyer Parks, presumably a daughter.    His secretary 
was Shirley Feldman, whose husband Al, K4ZMC who told me quite a bit of 
Hammarlund history about 10 years ago, they are retired in Mars Hill.    
Shirley also worked for my previous employer, Honeywell, after the plant 
was sold in the early 1970s.   It's still in operation, but just barely 
- most of the production was moved to Mexico a few years ago.  (Don't 
get me started on that!)

Another ham who worked there was Bob Dudley K4JRL who head up the 
maintenance department, but I'm not sure that he went back as far as the 
Hammarlund days.  He did tell me they ripped out a wall or something one 
time and inside found one of the castings that spelled out "HQ-one 
eighty".  Aside from the tower stubs they removed, that was the only 
remnant of the previous owner.
