[Hammarlund] Hq 140x troubleshooting

Does anyone have a lot of experience on Hammarlund HQ 140's?I bought  
one on ebay for a decent price of 75.00.
The owner said it worked after recapping and it sat on a shelf for 5  
years unused.Needless to say when I got the receiver it did not  
work.There is zero audio output and little s meter movement on strong  
sigals.
I haven't replaced any tube yet as I ordered a replacement set of  
tubes and they haven't arrive yet.
I can hear audio out of the bfo can with the audio gain turned wide  
open but nothing out of the speaker terminals or headphone jack,
