Got my switches in.
They are noticably larger in the body than the regular Hammarlund
switches, however the bushing
is shorter. Overall, if the edge of the bushing is mounted flush on the
front, the depth of the
switch appears to be about 1/8" more. The tabs are 0.25". The hole in
the tab is large enough to
take a wire. Tabs could be bent outwards or shortened.
Keep in mind that the 2GL51-52 (2G series) is much more heavy duty (with
slow make/break) than the
regular ones. But these were the only ones I could find stock of for
DPDT (on-NONE-on) - take note
of the "NONE" as on-OFF-on switches have 3 postions. They also make
the momemtary on, these have
the momemtary on in "()", e.g. on-NONE-(on). For $8.5 Cdn, I can't
complain -suspect I was lucky here.
As to ball toggles. Yes Carling Tech does make them. The options show up
in the 110 series switches
