Hello to all on the list. I have a Super Pro 200 that quit working and
have begun replacing caps and resistors in it. It used to work wonderfuly,
but alas, too many bypass caps decided to short out and something just had
to be done.
In the process of going through it I've discovered that the parts match
the military list more than the original Hammarlund manual I was able to
make a copy of when I got the radio, eg: the grid isolation resistors in
the rf stages being 500k instead of 250k. I've decided to restore
according to the mil list.
But that's not my problem. I discovered that the 600 ohm secondary on the
audio xfmr is open. I assume it is the 600 (green wires), the other, which
measures 58 ohms (black wires), was wired to the headphone jack, so I
assume that is the 8k secondary.
Where can I get a replacement? I think I could use either type, the dual
secondary in the mil list, or the single in the commercial. I'll just wire
it accordingly.
Thanks in advance. Up till now I've just been following the list for the
wealth of knowledge out there. Now I need to cry "help!".
Bill
