I have restored several JX-26 units- some of them had ceramics but most of
them have the dread BBOD's.
I agree - do not even power it up until you replace at least C102. If that
one shorts, it takes one or both of the big chokes with it (L51, L52).
If you are lucky, they fail by going open, but most of the time they fail by
shorting out. They generally take a few resistors with them but sometimes
they take out hard-to-replace coils or the 3.5 MHz crystal.
Besides, doing a recap job provides you with several weekends of fun!
