[Hammarlund] Paper caps

Go to Digikey or Mouser and pull the data sheets on your favourite caps.

If using ceramic, I suggest picking the higher quality ones rather than
z5u.
I also suggest checking out just what the "z", "5" and "u" mean.

A good data sheet will show impedance v frequency. For the RF deck you
want by-pass caps
good past 30 MHz.

Subject: [Hammarlund] Paper caps

What is the opinion of the list as to what type of capacitors I should
use to replace the paper Astron and West-Cap capacitors in the rf strip
on the sp-600? I have a good stock of new Sprague Orange Drops or I can

use ceramic disk. I don't want to have to do this again. Of course, at

my age, it's doubtful that will happen!

Thanks...
Rick/K5IZ
