I sure can't afford one. That's why I suggested (as was suggested to 
me) that one could buy an HP-8750(*) Storage/Normalyzer, or 
equivalent, and hook it to a standard scope. Those things cost very little 
from a certain unmentionable place. I just found two there: one is 
starting at $50, and the other is starting at $0.99.

I think I paid $50 for mine a couple of years ago, and it has been VERY 
helpful.

Of course you're right, although I DID mention adjusting the SG 
amplitude to prevent ringing. I forgot to mention that the AVC should be 
off.
