[Hammarlund] HQ-129x - Xtal Calibrator Puzzlement

Hi Barry,

Try pulling the r.f. gain control knob out! I picked up a HQ-129-X on Ebay
and noticed the additional small chassis,
xtal calibrator, and like you I looked for a switch but couldn't find one.
Try pulling the r.f. gain control knob out. If you look under the chassis if
the r.f. gain control has another what
appears to be a variable control on the same shaft, that additional
"control" is actually a push-pull switch!!!!
Works like a charm.
