Bob, I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. You might check to see
if a wire from one of the coils inside the can has broken away from where it
connects to one of the outer tabs. They're very hair-thin wires and not easy
to work with or repair. But if the coil won't peak, sounds like the coil may
be out of the circuit. A visual inspection or check with an ohmeter can
verify that there are no broken connections in the can. 73's and keep us
