[Hammarlund] Back Again

Greetings from Tucson,

I just wanted to re-introduce myself as I have been off the list for a 
year or so.  I keep having Hammarlunds follow me home, so I thought I 
'd  best get back on the list.  I currently have three of them. 

#1, SP600 JX-1(?):  Working but needs the BBOD treatment and probably a 
new front panel. Built the same year I was, 1951.

#2, HQ150:  Not working, but it is in good physical condition and will 
be one of my winter projects.

#3, HQ170:  Followed me home last week.  Works well on all but 80 
meters, where the audio sounds distorted.  I used it over the weekend on 
the WW-SSB contest to monitor DX on the low end of 40 while working them 
on our end of the band with my trusty Swan 500CX. The 170 does great on 
CW also.

I wonder if I'll find a transmitter next.....

Now that it is starting to cool off here in the Old Pueblo I can once 
again fire up my "hollow state" rigs without cooking myself out of the 
shack.  Such joy!
