Join us on Sunday May 8th for the HCI, Hallicrafters Collectors International,
20 meter Net. We wish all of the mothers a very happy, fondly remembered or
properly pampered day.

There will be new tidbits of Hallicrafters history during the Net tomorrow. Even
a bit of a love story, after all, it is Mother's Day! Several live clips will be
played as well as the NCS giving some background material to set up each clip.

If the propagation fails us, we will do it again. One way or another, you 'will'
get to hear these audio clips from the master interview.

The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC). You won't hear any grand
introduction with beating of drums or ear splitting uplifting notes from a
trumpet, but you may hear the pulsating whine of a two cycle chainsaw chewing
its way through an unwelcome tree limb that 'dropped' in for a visit! Nothing
like a wet and heavy April snow in Michigan to crush the trees and shrubs more
flat than your neighborhood stray mentally challenged Chihuahua that refused to
give ground to a yard roller and became a Mexican flat pancake!

The Net proper will begin at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC). Because it is mother's
Day, a special musical salute will be offered for your entertainment, by a
quartet of female amphibians Frogzilla calls the "Pond Scum Hummers" with a soul
stirring rendition of that all time favorite "Mother-In-Law"by Ernie K. Doe. Not
exactly a sentimental mover, which may explain why this guy had only one hit!

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
Ching Ching of coins hitting the cash register drawers as half the men in
America forgot it was Mother's Day until they found a calendar with the date
marked by a fire engine red "X" dangling from the large gutter down spout spike
somebody had nailed their Fruit Of The Loom briefs to the bathroom wall above
the toilet with and hung it on!

I hope to hear a lot of you tomorrow, after you find your underwear! Keep them
glowing gentlemen, remember to honor all the mother's in your lives and give
them the praise they so richly deserve, every day.
