Hi Bob,
Yes, the back can get a workout if you're not careful on the re-cap.
But the dial slippage is easy/quick to fix, just clean the brass friction
wheels' mating surfaces with alcohol and a clean cloth. Don't lubricate
any of the brass gears, or pcs, they don't need it, and it'll eventually
migrate to unwanted areas if you do.
