Need to do that anyway, as the lettering on the SP-600 is recessed.

If you got a decent panel you could probably flip it and use the
reverse side for lettering? This assumes you could use the current
holes for existing controls. Would make it easier to deal with and
also give you a reuseable front panel in a pinch, if you needed it.
