[Hammarlund] HQ-129X 6SG7 RF

Gents,

The unique feature of the 6SS7 is that its filament current is 0.15 A 
rather than 0.3 A for most other tubes of the series. While others will 
work, and perhaps one won't hurt much, if they were all changed it would 
result in a significant increase in load on the filament winding. A 6SS7 
is a lot cheaper and easier to find than a power transformer, IMHO. I 
wouldn't chance it.
