Hi Hammarlund enthusiasts,
I need a referral to some one who will work on a SP-600 JX-26 in, or near, NW Arkansas.
The radio was restored in 1982 by w9whm, who I believe had the last name of Leary. It looks great still. And was a good radio, fun to use and play with, but it went dead on me about a year ago. I have now decided to get it repaired. Of course, i am hoping it is something minor. I would also like to get a good long wire antenna installed for it, too. I would prefer not to ship the radio. Thanks. Phillip

I need a slide switch, believe it to be 2P4T?
The contacts look like this:
o o o o
o o o o
The switch body itself measures approx. 1.25" x 3/8", and was originally in
a Knight Kit R/C Substitution Box.
Anyone have such a beast?
Thanks and 73
Dan

Yo Carbon Based Life Forms Of The Homo Sapien Class -
AKA Bipedal Homoiothermous Homogenous Humans!
Like your worst reoccurring nightmare, Frogzilla's back! Ever seen a green Elf
while sober? (CROAK!) Santa hired me as temporary help to ride on Rudolph's back
and double check every chimney using the X-ray and thermal imaging instruments
aboard a NASA satellite to be absolutely certain that he does not drop down a
chimney this year and come out in the middle of a municipal Zoo animal excrement
sewage plant sludge recovery pond! The Elf that drew that map is now doing
twenty years of hard ice labor carving life size Penguins out of the polar ice
cap with his teeth!
So listen up! I've come back from the sun drenched white sandy beaches of the
Caribbean islands 'just' to celebrate the festive holidays with all of you
Hallicrafters, and other vintage boat anchor brands, fans. No need for applause,
but some Ben Franklin's not done with your new high res printer would be nice!
Besides I would not want you to blow out a bicep tendon on your Turkey or honey
glazed Ham carving arm and deprive me of food I do not have to be faster than to
catch! You know, 'fast food'! (CROAK!)
Check out the new poems, prose and Christmas tales with Santa Claus, Rudolph,
Frosty and a whole host of other magical, even mythical, characters and
creatures fresh from the fertile imagination of none other than the blind
blunder, I mean wonder ... (No not Stevie Wonder you cathode challenged grid
dipper, the blind Magician dude who got paid to wave his illuminated magic wand
that spit blue sputtering sparks and vanished hairballs with a Cat still
attached!) CROAK! Here are the links, devotees of the vacuum wave signal sucker!
Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah etc.
Remember: "Cash And Carry" - Does not mean as much cash as you can stuff into
your rpockets and still be able to run! CROAK!
