[Hammarlund] Hammarlund] filter caps and power tranny on an HQ-180C]

Hi

There is a ongoing debate about keeping radios "looking right". I have
no problem at all with restoring them so they work first and if you can
do it pretty then by all means do so. There are people with *very*
valid opinions that differ from mine.

I agree that it's > 90% sure the cap is bad. It never hurts to check
things just to be sure it's not something really weird.

Finding multi section filter caps is a major pain anymore. It's nice
that on an HQ-180 you have enough room to sling them under the chassis
without any problems. Given the price of capacitors is still pretty
reasonable you might even bump the voltage ratings up a bit when you do
the replacement. Bumping the capacitance is also an option but it might
move the voltages up a little in the radio.

	Take Care!
