Worked on the front panel this last week. Got the extra holes filled in,
stripped the panel and used an etching primer. I was careful not to fill up
the areas where the numbers and letters are. A little spot putty hear and
there, again sanded with 800 grit and then applied the gray paint from a
spray can. Let dry for 72 hours and then airbrushed white onto the letters
and numbers. Another 48 hours passed. Again sand with 1000 grit and real
careful around the lettering and numbering. A little bit of rubbing
compound, and then some car polish. WOW, looks like new.
    Next week will start on the cap changes.
