All are welcome, regardless of the flavor of the rig - if it is not vacuum, HUM
and fake it!

Please join us on a labor free Sunday September 5th for the Hallicrafters
Collectors International 20 meter Net. Pack a picnic lunch, an insulated gallon
jug of iced tea and enjoy the last unofficial weekend of Summer sweating like a
hog in a sona as those glowing vacuum tubes test your deodorant's staying power
and keeps your grilled burger on a bun warm at the same time!

The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC). However, for those of you
who just can't wait until then to exercise that vintage gear, I will be on the
air instructing the electrons which direction to travel to the nearest D layer
cloud to bounce off at about 12:25 PM EDT, (1625 UTC). Feel free to join me if
you are of the inclination to do so.

The Net proper will start at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC).

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and
Frogzilla croaking in glee as he spears one of the pesky moles that have made by
back yard look like the New York City subway maze! I tried live traps. All I
caught was the neighbor's Cat trying to steal the bait. Looks sort of funny with
a little stubby tail and runs a little crooked with only 3.5 legs, but it is his
own fault for leaving the safety of his litter box! I tried those electronic
gadgets that are supposed to cause the moles peanut size brain to explode, but
all that did was kill every bird within a 200 yard radius! I even tried to flush
them out of the tunnels with a garden hose, after i put moth balls, cloves of
overly ripe garlic and Roquefort cheese balls in the mole tunnels, let them
fumigate the area and thenthrew in a lit match. Man that sure killed a lot of
grass!

I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, so show up and be counted. We had the best
propagation in months today on forty meters, maybe we will get lucky on twenty
meters Sunday. hea ryou then!
