Hi Bob,
    I just got one also, at Shelby last mo.  Mine's in fairly good condx,
is operating as bought, tho' it's obvious it'd improve with alignment.  I
also got Halli's equiv., the R-274D/SX-73, at the same time, I've been
spending time with it.  Plan to write up the differences.
    I was hoping Larry, N3LW, would incl. schem.s of the mods in his
article.  It was long, maybe not enuf mag space for them.  But maybe he's
watching this list & will make them available.
    (I think you meant "Northern" not "National")
