[Hammarlund] HQ-145X vs HQ-170 audio

> Recently acquired an HQ-170C receiver, the audio on it sounds somewhat
muffled or perhaps narrower than the HQ-145X on AM receive.  Is this
typical as I seem to recall that folks complained somewhat about the
HQ-170's audio being a bit weak and clipped, the audio on my HQ-145X and
HQ-105 are great, full bodied  and warm, just as a nice tube receiver
