Silly me. I thought that once I had the skins off of this receiver, that
restringing might be (relatively) easy to figure out.
It might be. But the entire mechanism is embedded in what looks at
best to be a complex Chinese puzzle of modules, panels, etc. No
wonder this critter weighs so much ... Seemingly impenetrable
without complete dismemberment of the radio. Been looking for the
"magic screw" that would miraculously open things up, but haven't
found it yet, and certainly don't want to do anything that could lead to
damage of the turret.
