I have an HQ-150 in my kitchen for listening whilst preparing dinner. 
After a few minutes of warm up time, it stays put. Can't comment on the 
later 'Big box, little knob' models like the HQ-145,170, 180 and the 
likes because I've never used one. I'd check for out of spec components 
in the tuning section, though. Also check your line voltage and see how 
much if any it fluctuates.
