Subject: Hammarlund clock knobs needed
Well, I got my HQ-170A's clock working, but it's missing two little parts
(and they're predictable):
1) the black switch knob on the front, and
2) the knurled time setting knob on the shaft in the back.
Can anyone help, please?
As for the little black switch knob, I understand that many people might
need these -- so, we could get them reproduced. Larry Bordonaro
(http://www.antiqueradioknobs.com/) does just this sort of thing -- and
expertly, too. The thing is -- ahem -- we'd need some trusting soul to loan
out his knob so that Larry could make a mold from it for reproduction.
Would any philanthropic person be willing to part with his knob (boy, this
is starting to sound kinky) for a couple of weeks?
By the way, if I am able to locate an original for myself, I'll send it to
Larry for mold-making so that others might obtain reproductions.
Thanks again,
Craig
