Hmmm. The textual HQ-170A IF alignment instructions in my manual call for peaking L4 at 455 KHz. The IF adjustment diagram, however, suggests that the top slug of L4 is peaked 60 KHz lower -- at 395 KHz. So, umm, how should one REALLY tweak L4? I am actively discouraging any mention of sweep generators :-). Thanks and 73, Craig W3CRR
