A recent issue of Electric Radio has an article about
using public address system "line" audio transformers
to get both the 3.2 ohm and 500 ohm outputs as
replacements for original audio output transformers.
The article references using Radio Shack items, but I
believe that Radio Shack has now "dropped" the items
from their inventory. However, similar transformers
are used all over the place in the PA industry and
shouldn't be hard to find.

Barring that, I'd like to find an original output
transformer for the HQ-170A (the late xfmr with the
dual 3.2 and 500 ohnm secondaries), but these are
understandably scarce.
