[Hammarlund] Why Don't We Hear About These?

Don't have any idea!  I owned an HQ-140X when I was in
college and got another one several years ago.  Both
the HQ-140 series and the HQ-150 series are very
stable after about a 30 minute warm-up unlike many of
the other Hammarlund receivers (excepting the HQ-120,
HQ-129 and the HQ-145 series which are all very
stable).
