[Hammarlund] Hammarlund HQ-160 audio

I just purchased an HQ-160 to add to the Hammarlund collection here.   =
It is the first 160 that I've had any experience with.   I was under the =
impression that it was grouped right in there with the 100's, 110's, and =
145's, in terms of their pleasing audio capability, based on comments =
that I've seen on the web.   I immediately noticed that this one was =
quite inferior in audio quality to my HQ-100.   It is not as bright, and =
has very little low end.    I even subsequently did a popular audio mod, =
and it still doesn't compare to the 100, which is completely stock.   =
Tubes check good, and were changed out anyway, with no difference noted. =
  Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
