Hi Jim,
    The sizzling sound stopped after I found a poor connection on the
base of the 6AV6, I resoldered it and also changed the tube. I think
Im OK in the audio circuit now, though I do have one question 
(of course), C140 is a 20uf cap in parallel with C76 and R92, in
my receiver the previous owner has installed an electrolytic cap
there with the negative side connected to ground... Is this a legal
move? The value of the cap is correct, its just polarized... Next I
plan to dig into V8 (AVC-AM Detector) to see whats going on there,
receiver is still completely deaf... More later.
