Thanks Mike,
    I've gone back and studied the wiring again and I'm convinced what
ever "Z2" is, its not there on my receiver... Maybe the previous owner
removed it for some crazy reason, or maybe early production runs
of the 180 simply didnt have it... In my receiver, pin 7 of V16 (6AV6) is
connected to ground through C128, it is coupled to pin 1 of V17
 (6AQ5) through a .002 cap. Pin 7 of V17 is open and looks as though
there's never been anything connected there. I'll try removing V16
to see if it affects the noise... If the noise persists, it's probably
the transformer as there's really no other components to suspect.
