All flavors of vintage gear are always welcome at our table -

A good boat anchor rx, tx or transceiver can serve a myriad of functions. It can
keep a cheap western range style coffee pot hot. Prevent your lunch from
becoming cold while you ramble on way too long with the mike locked down. Just
remember to put your lunch on top of the tx before keying the mike, preferably
on a fireproof plate! Chase the chill from your bare feet and not get the dry
heaves like the family dog does when you park those smelly piggies in his/her
fur! Defrost a frozen beef roast for supper while you chat. Just make sure the
ice crystals do not turn to water and drip on those tubes glowing inside the
equipment! If they do, you will have snap, crackle and pop for supper, not a
hunk of dead Cow cooked with potatoes and baby carrots! They also make a
terrific bun warmer. Just do not get caught by any of your family sitting on top
of the rig in your briefs or boxers! A little difficult to explain!

Join us tomorrow, Saturday January 18th, for the HCI 40 meter Net. It will
commence with a short presentation of how to use your vintage Hallicrafters to
clear your driveway of snow without using up precious fossil fuel. This will be
at about 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC). The Net proper will begin at 1:00 PM EST,
(1800 UTC). The frequency will be 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike
splatter and the sizzling sound of steaming water pressure cooking scorched legs
as ice crystals frozen to hair folicles fall inside the Hallicrafters cabinet
and vaporize. The odor of burning carbon resistors really unclogs facial pores
and swollen sinus passages.

Join us for some facts, fun, fibs and fellowship. I hope to hear you tomorrow.
