Good post, Barry. On my last one I tore it down completely, cleaned
everything, and reassembled it. Not that hard, only a few gears - certainly
not like a 390A gear train! Besides, once the front panel is off you have a
good excuse to refinish it. After reassembly with a few drops of Mobil 1, it
would traverse about 1/2 or more of the entire band with a single spin, and
was smooth as butter.
