[Hammarlund] Update on SP 600 JX-17 BFO problem

All the old rigs have that BFO problem.  The accepted procedure at the time 
was to turn off the AVC, increase the audio control to 7, and back off on the 
RF gain.  The SP-600 sounds great when you do that, but you have to ride the 
RF gain as signal strength varies.  I do it this way on the SP-600, partly 
because it reminds me of my first years of radio operation with an old 
SP-200.  However, I have built an outboard product detector and AVC using 
solid state for my R-390A.  It could be done for the SP-600, but you're still 
stuck with a very fast tuning rate.
