I have started to electrically restore a 1949 Hammarlund Four-20 xmtr.
It covers 80 to 10m CW. Has a 807 final with four 7C5 osc and multiplier
tubes.
The xmtr must have been stored in a leaky building. The top cover is=20
complete rust. The front has corrosion at the top.=20
Could use some tips on minimizing the front panel corrosion.

The top of the chassis looks good. Pulled 5U4, 807 and PA coil.
Transformer, choke and 5U4 ckt test good under load.

No water damage under chassis. Replacing electrolytics.

Back of cabinet need paint touchup.

Anyone know of a restorer, where I could send the front panel?
If not, how would you minimize the front panel scars?=20
Need three 7C5 tubes.
