Dear Friends,

I'm seeking a professional electrical restorer for an SP-600. I have
appended a complete description with numbers, etc, below my signature.

By way of introduction, I'm new to the list, an older ham (K3VV), first
licensed 40 years ago, who recently received a generous gift of an
SP-600 which has not been plugged in for at many, many years. It
belonged to a close friend's recently deceased father, and she wanted me to
have it even after I told her of its history and present value.

I haven't plugged it in myself, even on a variac.

I am determined to see this radio in working order, but I know my limitations,
and there is no way I can restore this receiver myself. I just don't have the
steadiness, eyesight (and maybe even the temperament) to do it. I will use
it for CW work and shortwave broadcast listening.

Can any of you advise me of a professional Hammarlund restorer who would be
willing to take this on? Electrical restoration is what I have in mind.

Thanks very much for reading this es 73,

Ken Rice K3VV

about this particular receiver or about web sites where I can look up the serial
numbers.
