The Hq-140 correct speaker is a bluish/gray hammertone finish, the HQ-150
speaker is finished the same as the HQ-150 cabinet, a gray wrinkle. They had
square holes and the combination of the holes was shaped like a cross, grille
cloth was a ghastly woven gold..............:-). They had 8" speakers. The "early"
HQ speakers had a "flowery design" on the front grille but were in a Bud
cabinet and were 10" speakers, finishes varied as did the HQ-120 and 129.
The HQ-150 did have two different cabinet designs as you said, The earlier
one was the larger of the two, and the smaller one was on the last production
runs.
