To the group,
I found the screws used on the Hammarlund front panels. They are oval head
machine screws. The HQ 170,160,145,110and 100 in my collection have four
each . They have 10-32 size/threads and are 3/4" long. There are supply
houses that carry them (e.g., Barnhill.com) for about $8.00 per hundred. I
found the 10-24 size thread at Lowes in little bags of 5 each for about
$1.00; just buy the right nut and you will be OK. The screws do not go into
a solid/tapped hole, but are backed with a lock washer and nut. Lowes and
others carry them in stainless steel.
The HQ 100/110 series have smaller screws (also oval head machine type)
holding in the clocks. These are 4-40 size/thread and are 3/8" long. Lowes
had them as well; 5 for 48 cents. They screw into little clips on the clock
mount.
Hope this helps.
