Thanks.

Duane and List,
I'm not as well versed in the early Super-pro's, even though I have owned
several. So, here goes.
The first commercially produced shortwave superheterodyne receiver was the
Comet Pro in 1932.
In 1936, the first of the "Super-Pro" line was manufactured after more than
four years of planning and engineering.
No need to go into all the details of the various variants, but briefly, two
basic versions were offered. One tuned from 540 kc to 20 mc, the other tuned
from 1250 kc to 40 mc. There was a LF version that tuned from 100 kc to 20mc.
If memory serves, the military versions were BC-779, BC-794, BC-796,
BC-799/A-B and
C, BC-1004/A-B-C and D.
The very earliest "Super-Pro" was the SP-10.
I have no information on the diversity operations set-up for these receivers.
Another variant was the R-270/FRR which was a BC-794, tuned from 1250 kc to
40 mc. It had fixed X-Tal positions and was manufactured after WW2 in limited
quantities.
Hope this is of some help.
