Eric, Your BC-639 2mtr Rcvr was used well into the 1960's and perhaps the 
70's.  My mind what remains of it seems to be fading fast.  The companion 
Xmtr to it was the BC-640.  Can't remember power output perhaps 100watts.  
They were both Rack Mounted in there own cabinets.  The 640 even had a variac 
supplied for use with it.  The 640 was of modular construction.  I don't 
remember the T number for the Xmtr if it had one.  But these units were used 
by USAF in the Radar Sites and their Air to Ground Radio Sites.  It seems the 
BC-640 was a chain driven tuning system.  But I maybe getting it mixed up 
with another radio.

By the way for anyone that might need a power xfmr for the BC-610 I have one 
that I stripped from an I model.  Idiot, Idiot.  I would rather trade it than 
sell.
