It means, that instead of using plain text like you are supposed to, you are
sending in html and/or multi-part alternative formats. The qth.net system does
not allow attachments, never has. Alan Waller, K3TKJ, the owner, wrote a routine
that allows these posts that used to be bounced to list managers for approval or
simply tossed into the electronic trash can to be passed through to the list. It
was easier than having to constantly try to explain to subscribers the correct
way to post.
Especially for those who use AOL, which makes using plain text without
multi-part alternative format nearly impossible. Most of the time their tech
support people have no clue how to do it when asked either.

attachments aren't allowed. what does that mean? thanks.
