Please join us tomorrow, Saturday January 26th for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International 40 meter Net. It will commence at 1:00 PM EST, (1800 UTC) on the
frequency of 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and sultry solar
winds.
Somebody needs to work with WB8DML Jim Dieguez to coordinate the HCI presence at
the Dayton Hamvention this year. We have Alan Waller, K3TKJ and Riley
Hollingsworth, K4ZDH lined up as speakers already. One, or more, of you needs
to step forward and help Jim. This one person does everything routine is getting
ridiculous. If you want a Hallicrafters organization, web site and Nets - then
you need to do something constructive and positive to help. If not, there won't
be anything left come June 2002.
You can contact Jim, WB8DML at:

You can contact Fred, KA1DGL at:

I hope to hear lots of you tomorrow for some Hallicrafters fun, facts and
fantasy filled visions of things that still go glow in the dark. Oh yes, and the
first one of you to submit photographic evidence of a glow in the dark Barney
the Purple Dinosaur smashed into fragments beneath a boat anchor that
'accidentally' fell upon him, wins a free ticket to the Collins Kissing Booth at
the Dayton Hamvention. Just show your ticket and they will show you what to kiss
.... (Just teasing my Collins friends) Sorry, the Devil made me do it! Then
again, it could have been that Polish
sausage with homemade sauerkraut on a sesame seed bun topped off with that
French horseradish flavored with vintage wine and some of cousin Bubba's hot
sauce that kills both plantars warts and cremates any signs of gumb disease
found in your mouth, and all at the same time too!
Hope to hear you tomorrow! Be there and help me keep Frogzilla away from the
back shed where the mil surplus Vietnam flame thrower is stored. It is about
this time of year that he gets an amphibian craving to go skinny dipping in the
frozen frog pond and uses whatever he can get his green web toed membranes on to
melt the ice. Last year he tried one of those Japanese Kimono Dragons that he
first fed some of my infamous hotter than an oxyacetylene torch homebrew chili
to, sealed his mouth with duct tape and waited for the gas to buil dup. When the
Dragon's eyes started to alternately flash like tilt lights on a pinball
machine, Frogzilla flicked his Bic. But that is another tail ...
