Hello Folks,

You may be interested to know that the "International Shortwave League" (
ISWL ), celebrates it 60th (Diamond) Anniversary in 2006.

The ISWL was founded in 1946 and caters for Licensed Amateurs, Broadcast band &
Amateur band SWL's and Air Band Listeners around the world. (Plus many more
aspects of our great hobby). Please see http://www.iswl.org.uk for details.


The Special Callsign  GB60SWL  will be used at 12 public events throughout 2006.

The first one being on 22nd January from the RAF Montrose Heritage Centre, in
Angus, Scotland.

Also the Special Callsign  GB6SWL will be operated at weekends and public bank
holidays, from various locations around Great Britain.
