[Ham-Mac] Hamlib error with TS-590SG with WSTJ-X

I used poor scientific method, changed 2 variables at once to try and solve my problems with WSJT-X and Fldigi. I ran my USB connection through a Thunderbolt dock AND started using Flrig with Fldigi. 47 contacts using PSK31 and JT65 without a problem since making those 2 changes using Sierra on my 2012 Powerbook and my Yaesu FT-991.

I’m leaning towards insufficient power in the USB connection causing drops in connectivity but that’s just a guess. I think the change to USB via Thunderbolt was the solution since that would be common between both software packages but since both of them work well right now so I am hesitant to make any changes to see if Fldigi worked without Flrig.
