Yup, Mac to Mac is a piece of cake and outstanding performance, but Bruce
also has a Windows machine he’s interested in.

If at all possible, Bruce should definitely stick with Mac to Mac.

I tried RealVNC as a VNC server on a Mac when I was having trouble
connecting
to the Mac screen sharing using ChickenOftheVNC as a client. Apple changed
the authentication protocols for their screen sharing and it is
incompatible with
most VNC clients. (after 10.6)

I found the performance to be horrible on my older Mac mini but I guess it
might
be better on a modern PC.

Mac to Mac screen sharing gives one almost the same performance as the
local
screen and mouse.
