Right, Silicon Labs’ latest driver does not work right on 10.12. It installs without errors, but the driver is not loaded.
I’ve several USB to serial dongles with FTDI chips, those work fine, though consider that the drivers for those chips are part of the base operating system (at least as of 10.11, perhaps also on 10.12).
For now, I’m unable to use CHIRP with the D72 as the Mac Mini on my station is running 10.12.
