Go to System Preferences

Select Security & Privacy

There should be an option towards the bottom half of the screen about not opening EchoMac because its from an unidentified developer.  If there is… select the open anyway option.

If that option is not present… temporary select the Allow apps downloaded from:   Choose “Anywhere”.  Try to launch EchoMac again.  If successful, go back to the Security & Privacy settings and reselect the “Mac App Store and identified developers” option.
