This announcement will be of interest to you if you are currently a 
Puppy user or anticipate using that operating system.

The most recent Puppy distributions are now based on either a Debian or 
a Slackware distribution.  All of the NBEMS applications have been 
updated to be compatible with Precise-Puppy 5.7.1, a Debian based 
distribution.  You can download a 5.7.1 ISO image and all of the pet 
files from the www.w1hkj.com web site.  It would reduce the overall site 
traffic if you obtained the ISO image from puppylinux.org.  Use my 
mirror as a last resort.

NOTE:

    (1) these pets ARE NOT compatible with Puppy 4.3.x, the previously
    supported version of Puppy.
    (2) there is no longer any need to install special shared libs
    (libs.pet) for this update.
    (3) Puppy 4.3.x will no longer be supported.
